💭 My Thoughts 💭

Chris Carter has knocked it out of the park yet again. Written In Blood is another tremendous thriller starring the amazing Robert Hunter. I’ve got to say I’ve got a soft spot for Detective Hunter and his very clever mind.

Right if you haven’t read a Chris Carter book and you love your thrillers to be thrilling and gory and gruesome and tense. Then what are you waiting for? There’s a whole eleven books in this series to devour, and you won’t be disappointed.

I got to say the scenes of torture and killing make me squirm and hold my breath, but, I love it. And, when you throw in a main character that’s so perfect as Hunter then it’s a win win situation. Why do I love Hunter so much? He’s not your average detective, his mind and intelligence is astounding. I love the way he goes about solving the case. He uses his knowledge and understanding of the human mind to profile the serial killers. It’s good that we have Carlos as his partner, it’s a nice balance between the two.

In this story Hunter has met his match. The serial killer here is a mastermind in their own right. Devious, one step ahead and has no fear at all. At 480 pages you may think that this book is heavy. But, with those classic short chapters you will race through the book in no time.

Written In Blood has got it all. A murderous storyline filled with dread and fear. Absolutely stunning and marvellous.

Thanks to Anne at Random Things Tours for my spot on the blog tour. And to Simon and Schuster for my gifted copy.
